The X-Men explorate a prior follower of Xavier's principles known as Master Zhao whom along with his mutated followers Monster, Wingspan, Frostbite, Psycho K and One-Eyed Jack lead the Desert Ghost members of the X-Men to believe that Zhao has become a far cry from the humanitarian he had been championed to be. As Desert Ghost and Master Zhao contend with each other in X'ian's mindscape, Zhao confronts Desert Ghost's prior dark psyche and falls as does Desert Ghosts' conscience.
