NOW AND THEN Power Girl is annoyed with her friend Huntress for destroying the portal back to their home universe of Earth 2, when it seemed their only chance - and it appeared that they were needed. Kara's cousin Kal-El had somehow been corrupted, and she suspects that he wanted her by his side. Helena reminds that what they saw on the other side of that portal might not even be their Earth - and the man Kara had seen might not have been their Superman. Their dispute is cut short by the arrival of A.R.G.U.S. agents, come to retrieve the equipment. Nearly four years ago, Helena had got herself caught in a trap by some hunters who were smuggling imports. As the hunters discussed what to do with her, she managed to snap the hog-tie keeping her pinned to the ground, and rose to her feet. When they came to look in on her, she managed to fight back - even with her arms and legs bound together, but she wasn't fast enough to avoid taking the butt of a rifle in the head. By the time she woke, Helena was tied by her arm to a tree, with a bloody wound left open to attract hungry wolves. Fortunately her legs were free enough to kick one such wolf away, and provide the leverage she needed to snap the tree's trunk. Freed, she lit a fire, and launched a flaming log from the tree through the hunters' cabin's window. As the fire spread, the men rushed out of the cabin, and straight into Helena's area of attack. Now, Helena has Kara drop her off in Chicago for some rest and relaxation before trying to crack the data they stole from the Gamorran computers. As Kara leaves, she hopes to herself that she'll find a way to prove that the man Kara saw on the other side of the portal was not the real Superman of their home world. That night, she hacks into Batman's servers to analyze the data they stole. From surveillance tapes, she spots a device she recognizes in the background of the Superman's communications with Kaizen Gamorra. It can't be a coincidence. Kara, meanwhile, has got control of her powers back and couldn't be happier. On top of that, her New York lawyers have managed to transfer Starr Industries back into her control as well. However, once she has it all, she orders her lawyers to sell every bit of it except her lab in Cambridge. After receiving Helena's call, Kara returns to Chicago and learns that her friend discovered a techno-box in the footage she was analyzing - a device that her father had been working on in the Batcave just before they'd left. Along with the scar on Superman's face, that counted as two points of evidence. Helena is on board, now. They're going home.
