Prince Drakken, leader of the Vampire Nation, has set forth in motion his plan to wrest control of the symbiotes from the people he feels stole them from him—WetWorks. By kidnapping Armand Waering, the team's former benefactor, he felt he could lure WetWorks into his trap. Although they suspected what he was up to, they were ambushed by a horde of vampires with Claymore and Dozer being captured.
