Waering sends the Wetworks team to protect a group of special children in a small mountain town. The team is attacked by camouflage monsters who seem to have powers similar to their own symbiotes. When one of the monsters penetrates Jester's golden skin, Dane notices that there is no physical body underneath his armor. The team is assisted by the mysterious Blackbird who returns to home base with them and blackmails Waering into letting him join Wetworks. Blackbird turns out to be, not only Pilgrim's brother but also a werewolf like Waering and his tribe.
