SPIDER-MAN & THE PUNISHER PART 1 Frank Castle, nicknamed The Punisher, is serving time in Ryker's Island for killing NYPD officers. While in prison, he has had encounters with other inmates resulting in 7 deaths. Doctor Ruben is assigned to deal with Castle, but he refuses to talk about his past. After having a session with Castle, Doctor Ruben leaves behind a paper clip, which Castle pockets. Meanwhile, Spider-Man is swinging around New York City when the televisions begin reporting that The Punisher has escaped from Ryker's.
