The Tick continues his exhausting - but personally very fulfilling - one-man assault on crime in The City while Arthur takes on the more 'refined' villains of Blissburg, rescuing kittens from trees, restoring ponies to their little girl owners and the like. The Tick misses his old buddy. Fortunately, The Tick meets the enigmatic Super Mentor. Always eager to improve his craft, The Tick accepts Super Mentor as his mentor. The wizened old hero has some bright ideas, such as a utilitarian belt full of useful things. And a new sidekick who doesn't whine and complain, like a llama. Not to mention a portable espresso-maker for that late afternoon pickup! Which The Tick will need as the mysterious cultists tighten their hold on The City!
