Synopsis

It's a seaworthy summer vacation issue. In 'Calls in the Wild,' SpongeBob and Patrick must protect a troupe of young campers from the strange creatures that lurk in the woods - -like that grouchy bald one who plays the clarinet! In 'Heroes at the Beach,' Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy attempt to have a relaxing day at the beach. But why must there be so much eeeevil to get in their way? Plus, Patrick forgets his pants, SpongeBob gets acne, and we learn why big socks = big fun! All this and a surreal painted pin-up by SpongeBob creator Stephen Hillenburg.
