The Silver Surfer senses a planet he once saved from Galactus is in danger. He finds the people of the planet deliberately destroying their planet. They tell him they were trying to get his attention and that they would rather die than be killed by the dragon.Surfer asks them about this dragon. They claim it has killed thousands and thousands of them. He sets out to find it and destroy it.He is ambushed when the dragon fires and seems to teleport but the Surfer manages to sense where he will be and destroys it's teleportation device. The creature flees but Surfer uses his infrared vision and sees it's path. He overpowers the creature and tells it to surrender but it will not.The dragon tells the Surfer what he and his whole race escaped their sun going nova. It had damaged their cazalyte crystals that powered their engines. They all landed on this planet for assistance. They asked for the crystals politely but they brought them something else that they called Kortilon. They said it worked just as good. When it was installed in their ships it set off a chain reaction killing all four billion of his kind. He was away when it happened and witnessed the people cheering that their land was saved from the dragons. He vowed vengeance ever since killing as many as he could. Surfer tells him that the killing stops here. The dragonĀ tells him to stop him he will have to kill him. Still no match for the him, the Surfer pleads with him not to make him do this. He tries to tranform him instead, to render his power useless, but it does not work and he accidentally makes the dragon explode, killing it.The people cheer for the Surfer, be he tells them that never in is travels has he met people as hate filled and violent as they were.
