From 1891 to 1894, Sherlock Holmes pretended to be dead. Only a few people knew that he had survived his fight with James Moriarty. After many hardships, Holmes ended the charade and resumed his activities as a detective-advisor to Scotland Yard. But his brother Mycroft seeks his help. The village of Keelodge has been put into quarantine; all its inhabitants have gone mad, bloodthirsty and cannibalistic. He needs him in the field because this drama is probably the result of a criminal act.
