Chapter 3: Saints and Sinners The year is 1704. The samurai Asukai Shiro has traveled the breadth of Asia and Europe, pursuing his lost love, Lady Yoshiko, who was kidnapped by a Chinese warlord, then sold to an Arab slaver. Yoshiko’s trail led Shiro to Paris, where he encountered the King’s Musketeers a nd was I'm prisoned in the Bastille. However, Shiro’s freedom was purchased by the Spanish ambassador to the court of Louis XIV, Don Miguel Ratera Aguilar. Unknown to Shiro, the Arab has brought Yoshiko to Louis’s palace at Versailles.
