Synopsis

Behold, A Flaming Star!, script by Gary Friedrich and Dick Ayers, pencils by Dick Ayers, inks by George Roussos [as George Bell]; Night Rider is given the sacred spirit stone (which gives the wearer tremendous strength) by Flaming Star; On his way home Night Rider is shot by Towering Oak (the son of Flaming Star), who steals the stone.; Towering Oak tries to take over his tribe, but is forced to fight the Night Rider in a trial by combat; Night Rider wins when Towering Oak's heart gives out from the strain of the stone; Flaming Star decides to bury the stone rather than give it back to Night Rider; reprinted from Ghost Rider (Marvel, 1967 western series) #6.
