Synopsis

A collection of comics and stories, including -- "The Hollywood Invasion Plot" , featuring Uncle Sam :   Spies discover fertile ground for an attack on a movie set, whose director was so successful and powerful that he was able to procure the use of U.S. Navy ships. The movie was meant to stir American patriotism, but the set was infiltrated by Fifth Columnists. Buddy, on board one of the submarines, discovered this and turned the tables on the saboteurs, while the ghost of George Washington appeared to Uncle Sam to alert him of the danger. -- "The Soap Box Demagogue" , featuring Quicksilver :   A political boss is paying crooks across America to make speeches and to stir up dissent in a scheme to become President under a new party banner, and to rule as a dictator.
