Synopsis

A collection of comics and stories, including -- "The Mine Slaves" , featuring Uncle Sam :   After an afternoon of fishing, Uncle Sam and Buddy enter a town, but to their surprise, there are no men there! When they learn that the men have been kidnapped to work in a mine, they decide to investigate and free the men if at all possible. -- "Wizard Ward and the Boat Race" , featuring Quicksilver :  Wizard and his gang have been doing pretty well in the poultry racket, but Quicksilver is on to them and chasing a lot of them out of town.  So Wizard decides to mix things up a bit to throw Quicksilver off the scent.  He decides to enter a boat in the annual race on Swan Lake, but cheat his way to first prize by destroying the competition!  PLUS :  Kid Patrol, Wonder Boy, Merlin, Paul Bunyan, and more!!
