Synopsis

With Karnak the Killer's war-making complex in flames behind them, the Metal Men await their extraction from Karnia. Though their mission was, largely, successful, the Metal Men did sustain one casualty... Platinum. While technicians work to effect repairs on Platinum, the enigmatic Mister Conan confers with the rest of the team. The Metal Men's creator, Doctor Will Magnus, has committed treasonous acts against the United States of America. Magnus, though, was able to escape the Metal Men in Karnia. Iron is quick to catch the team before they really begin to fall. Magnus' face appears before them, threatening more surprises, on their way to the top. A magnetic clamp closes on one of Iron's arms, holding him fast. When it becomes apparent that the team will not be able to free him, Iron severs the trapped hand. Incapable of hammering in their pitons with only one hand, Iron relinquishes the lead to Gold. Another booby trap nearly fells the team, as they progress ever higher up the mountain peak. A triggered avalanche also fails to dislodge the team from the mountain. Making their way up a narrow crevasse, the Metal Men quickly become aware that the walls are closing in on them.Iron manages to keep the gap open, long enough for the team to reach the top. Almost immediately, the Metal Men plunge through a trap door, landing,...
