Synopsis

Professor Snakelocks unveils his latest creation, the Sizzler. A demonstration of the Sizzler's powers is given to an audience of foreign spies. In America, the Metal Men are engaging in shape-shifting exercises. All but Platinum, who has absented herself to pine over her creator, Doctor William Magnus. Her "heart" breaking, Platinum wishes for nothing more then to be a real girl. Snakelocks arrives in America, managing to smuggle an entire army of robots, and the Sizzler, through customs.Snakelocks orders his "Comrade Robots" to hijack a train filled with Hollywood celebrities. When word reaches Magnus of the crime, he summons the Metal Men. Arriving on the scene in their Jetaway, the Metal Men descend on the Comrade Robots in attack formation. With the Metal Men focused on destroying the Comrade Robots, the Sizzler is able to ambush them, from Snakelocks' hidden plane. The power of the Sizzler transforms the Metal Men into human beings.Platinum is overjoyed, until she sees that Magnus has been transformed into a robot. The loss of their fantastic abilities puts the Metal Men at a huge disadvantage. Very quickly, the Comrade Robots gain the edge in the battle. Only Magnus has the power to overcome the Comrade Robots, eventually destroying all of them. Feeling triumphant, Snakelocks departs the area, ordering the Sizzler to share in his joy. The, now human, Metal Men, are swarmed by the grateful movie stars.Platinum rushes to Magnus, who coldly rebuffs her advances. The two depart in the Jetaway together, and return to Magnus' laboratory complex. Platinum tries to distract Magnus from his work, but his robot mind is only concerned with overcoming the power of the Sizzler. To Snakelocks' dismay, the Sizzler abandons him. Literally running on air, the Sizzler races to Magnus' headquarters. Encountering Platinum, the Sizzler floors her with a photoelectric blast.The Metal Men arrive, but too late to stop the Sizzler from reaching their creator. Magnus activates a rubber...
