Synopsis
A ex-mercenary is killed in the street by Hobgoblin (Demogoblin). Marc and Frenchie are sparring, and Marc can tell that something is bothering Frenchie. Hobgoblin is fighting the demon within, but it always wins out. Marc needs to clear his head, so leaves in his Angelwing. Meanwhile, Spider-Man (in his black suit) is looking for Hobgoblin after hearing of his killings. Frenchie and Chloe are out on the town when Hobgoblin shows up, attacking Frenchie. Luckily Spider-Man shows up and saves him. In a brief personality switch, Frenchie sees Macendale's face and recognises him from his mercenary days. He knows he must warn Marc. Spidey tags along. Marc returns home, greeted by Marlene, and hears an explosion upstairs. He discovers Hobgoblin and the two fight.
