Synopsis
In the lands of Arran, following the events of “Lah’saa’s Betrayal” and the defeat of her Ghoul Armies, the Mages must now obey a new law: they must be indentured into the service of a Human Lord. Those that refuse, are tracked down by the Order of Shadows, imprisoned or, depending on their additional, crimes, executed. Tyrom cannot remember his past, but despite his misgivings and desire for solitude, he is drawn into the life of Shannon, a mischievous child of the free city of Castlelek. This independent city is coveted by King Gerald however, and when Tyrom sees one of the King’s mercenaries threatening Shannon he intercedes... And at that moment, great power, magical power is unleashed! Yet he does not understand how... Is he Mage? Is that why he cannot remember his past?
