Synopsis
"Desperate Climax" As Despero emerges from the Flame of Py'tar, Batman leads him away from his teammates. Recovering, the other JLA members arrive just as Despero is torturing Batman and distract the alien long enough to free their leader. As the other heroes battle the stone demons created by Despero, Gypsy watches as Steel is blasted by the alien's third eye, and uses her illusion power to drive the villain berserk. Meanwhile, Vibe uses his abilities to blow out the Flame. Without his power source, Despero consumes himself, disappearing completely, together with his creations.
