THE SHAGGY MAN WILL GET YOU IF YOU DON'T WATCH OUT! The immortal supervillain Hector Hammond sits immobile in his prison cell. Using his psychic powers, he 'travels' throughout the world, contemplating his situation. Above all else, Hector desires revenge against the man responsible for his imprisonment: The Green Lantern. Using the Justice League's own extensive library, Hector learns of every villain they have ever fought. Of all the mad men and monsters the heroes have faced; one in particular stands out among the rest. Armed with this knowledge, Hector travels to specific spot in Northern Chile. Using his powers, he frees the unstoppable monster The Shaggy Man from the pit the League trapped him in during their last battle. Hector teleports his new partner in crime to the Justice League Satellite, where the heroes are busy spring cleaning. Black Canary and Aquaman are the first to encounter the Shaggy Man, and the two heroes are quickly defeated. One by one, the members of the Justice League fall to the Shaggy Man, until only Superman remains. As the two titans trade blows, their brawl causes the satellite to fall to earth, with only the arrival of Green Lantern stopping it from crashing. The League regroups, and throws their combined might against the Shaggy Man, but are helpless against the beast. Thankfully for the heroes, the battle turns in their favor when Hector's control over the Shaggy Man finally breaks. In a desperate attempt to stop the monster, Green Lantern uses a massive amount of his ring's power to shrink him to miniature size. The Shaggy Man is then contained in a bottle and kept under tight security in the League's satellite. Robbed of his revenge, Hector can only begin planning his next scheme, and he has all the time in the world.
