For their 100th issue, Green Lantern discovered a fellow hero in the family, while Green Arrow found new purpose as Oliver Queen. In the first story, writer Denny O' Niel and artist Alex Saviuk introduced Hal to another Hal Jordan, son of the elder Hal's late uncle Larry and successor to the mantle of Air Wave. In the issue's second tale, by Elliott S! Maggin and artist Mike Grell, Green Arrow is urged by the Mayor to run for office after defusing a gang of bombers.
