Synopsis

The issue opens with Uncle Sam, the Ray, and the Human Bomb causing chaos on the streets of New York City, and in the subway underneath them. We find out that the trio is being blackmailed by their new arch-enemy, the Silver Ghost. The Ghost has transformed the other three Freedom Fighters ( Black Condor, Doll Man, and Phantom Lady) into silver statues, and is holding them hostage. New York DA Pearson gives orders for the NYPD to apprehend the Freedom Fighters.  The trio of Freedom Fighters plays along, until the Silver Ghost plans on poisoning New York’s water supply. Not willing to risk the populace of New York City, the trio of Freedom Fighters turns on the Silver Ghost and his goons. They defeat the Silver Ghost, only to find out he is a robot. The Human Bomb takes the robot’s tech, and use it to reverse the effect done to his teammates. As the Silver Ghost’s effect is reversed, the New York police surround the Freedom Fighters’ headquarters.
