They discuss the flying Palace of The High-Ones.Meanwhile, inside the Palace, Rayek proposes to Ekuar and the Wolfriders his theory of how the Palace initially travelled backwards in time 20,000 years while landing on Abod. His zeal temporarily blinds him to the arrangement he made with Cutter in ElfQuest: Kings of the Broken Wheel #4, to allow the tribe to decide when the Palace will be used as a Cosmic Egg spaceship. This issue ends with Rayek collapsing the Palace out of space and time, abandoning all the elves on their world.
