An angry mob forms outside the Mercer Island estate, protesting the Elementals are murderers and represent a hazard to anyone living nearby. David discusses the severity of the situation and how it could affect the Elementals publicity and livelihood. Meanwhile in Philadelphia, the police force ramps up for vampire patrol. The body count seems to be growing bigger and bigger. Eric Chessman proposes to Morningstar. She is ecstatic. Porter hears the news and intuitively discerns that Eric must be a paranormal as well. As Lawrence had mentioned...normal humans don't seem to be able to stand being around the Elementals very long because they give off a weird undead sort of vibe. Porter immediately calls in a background check and Eric turns up way too clean. They go looking for Eric, but can't find him...because he is out picniking with Morningstar. Eric reveals to Morningstar the worst sort of treachery possible. She is completely devastated by the news and wishes she could die. Eric promptly pulls out a gun and hands it to Morningstar and then takes off. Morningstar puts the gun to her mouth and....blam!
