August 1945, everyone is celebrating the end of World War II. Doc Savage's men are trying to meet-up with him. However, they are unaware of a German hit-squad following them. They wait an hour for Savage to arrive. Savage arrives. The Germans are defeated. Doc apprehends the waiter who gave the Germans access through the side door.Back at Doc's office, Savage informs his men of the information he received from the waiter. Savage's wife, F'Tenna, arrives at the office. Doc realizes that Wessel has made a connection to F'teena's home and Savage. Savage and his men fly back to Central America to find Wessel. Savage reveals F'teena is pregnant.The men parachute into the valley. They discover the villagers have been massacred by Nazis. Savage finds Chief Botono, F’teena’s father, amongst the dead. Later, the group locates a Nazi patrol in the jungle. Savage finds Wessel. The two men scuffle. Wessel uses a machine to apparently disintegrate Savage.
