Synopsis

DEAD RECKONING PART 2 The ex-Commissioner Gordon, now a professor of criminology at Gotham University, is attacked by a gunman claiming affiliation with Two-Face. Gordon fights off the gunman, whom he realizes is a burn victim wearing a latex mask; moments later, the gunman escapes, leaving behind yet another double-marred coin.  After convening with Gordon, Batman travels to Arkham and interrogates Two-Face. Two-Face realizes the significance of the double-marred coins - an old scheme involving many of Gotham's other supervillains - almost immediately, but refuses to elaborate once his own coin lands marred-side-up. Only when Batman reveals Gordon's involvement and invokes their mutual friendship with the ex-Commissioner does he (somewhat) relent, advising Batman to interrogate the Penguin.   However, a visit to the Iceberg Lounge reveals the Penguin has already gone into hiding - intimidated by the coin-sender, who has marked him as the next target. Despite his (and Oracle's) best efforts, Batman finds the Penguin too late; the coin-sender has struck again, perforating the Penguin's getaway car and hanging its owner from a noose. SPORE PART 3 The last stage of mutation transforms Batman into a massive, many-tentacled monster, possessing no sapience whatsoever and only concerned with destroying Gotham City. The monster's rampage, however, is soon checked by a most stalwart opponent: Superman.
