AIR TIME Members of the Lucky Hands Triad shoot and kill two police officers, an old hand and a promising new recruit. Batman is determined to track them down, and pursues them, but as he does so, he gradually realizes that there is a more important priority - in their flight, the gang members knocked a car into the river. He arrives just in time to rescue the young family trapped inside. THE JACOBIAN CONCLUSION - THE SNAKE AND THE DETECTIVE The Jacobian confronts Lilith/Leelee in a recreation of the Garden of Eden and is able to defeat her when he realises that he feels utterly at home in or on water - it is the safest of elements for him, and the most dangerous for her. He leaves, retaining his knowledge of who he is (though he causes Leelee to forget). As he does, he has a hunch that the sentry, Kobi, may be his son, but he dismisses it.
