THE CRIMES OF THE HUMAN MAGNET David Wist is a watch repairman who wants to become part of Frenchy Day's criminal gang, but he is always denied a chance, deemed as useless for the crimes. Wist tries to prove himself and the crooks that he is capable of stealing from a rich man's mansion, but during his robbery attempt, he is confronted by Batman and Robin. Wist decides to run from the vigilantes, but on his escape attempt, he breaks inside a nuclear-fission plant and is electrocuted when he touches some hight voltage wires, causing a small explosion. The Dynamic Duo assume Wist is dead and they leave, looking for help. In the meantime, Wist recovers miraculously unharmed and when he stands up and walks away, he notices that his left hand repels metal objects while his right hand attracts them. Wist finally understands that he has become a human magnet and he decides to use his new powers for crime. Wist adopts the identity of The Human Magnet and starts a crime spree in Gotham City. Batman and Robin confront the new crimninal, but they are unable to stop him whenever he uses his magnetic powers against them. When the Human Magnet becomes a prominent criminal, he steals away all the members of Frenchy Day's gang and starts a criminal gang of his own. In the meantime, Batman and Robin investigate the new criminal and discover his secret identity. When the Dynamic Duo learn of the Human Magnet's next crime, Batman prepares something that would help him capture the super-criminal. Batman and Robin find the Human Magnet stealing from a greenhouse and they release some mosquitos in the place. When the insects reach the criminal, he tries to swat them with his hands and as any normal magnet would react, Wist's hands are forever locked together and he is finally captured by Batman and Robin.
