Synopsis

DRESSED TO DIE! Manikin gets ready to murder Houston, but Batman saves the unsuspecting fashion designer. Manikin turns her attention to Batman, but the fire that has started to consume the place has created enough smoke to affect her breathing and she decides to leave the place. Batman rescues Houston and takes him to the police, who are waiting outside of the building. Meanwhile, Manikin gets to her car with help from her assistant.   The next day, a notorious criminal is released from Arkham Asylum after having apparently recovered his sanity, but there are people concerned about this decision. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne investigates a clue about Manikin's identity at the Gotham Gazette and learns that she is the woman he saved from a car bomb a few months earlier.  After preparing a special weapon to contain Manikin, Batman goes to the Gotham General Hospital, where Houston is hospitalized, hoping to find more information about Manikin. What Batman doesn't count on, is that Manikin will strike at the hospital and he is lucky to be there to prevent her from killing the designer. After a brief struggle, Batman uses the special weapon, which would force Manikin to remove her mask or she would die. When Manikin chooses death over revealing her disfigured face, Batman gets ready to save her, but it is her assistant, Victor, who arrives in time to save her. Batman learns that Victor is not only Manikin's assistant, but also her brother; the only person who supported her and loved her even after the accident. On the other hand, Batman deduces that Manikin's vendetta against Houston is because the man is responsible for the bomb that disfigured her; and when confronted with the truth, the man can't deny the facts that his soul is uglier than anything he turned Miranda into. THE PURSUIT OF JOY A concert violinist lends a hand to a struggling street performer. DIAMONDS AREN'T FOREVER Batman solves the mystery of a disappearing diamond after Commissioner Gordon has informed him about the case and given the details about the prime suspects. As it turns out, the diamond's security was impossible to bypass and Batman deduces that the diamond has not bee stolen, but someone managed to conceal it within the display only to steal it afterwards, when the authorities remove the case for investigation purposes.
