A DREAM OF DEMONS! By projecting visions of the late Larry Lance, Dr. Destiny lures the Black Canary and Superman into a dream-dimension, intending to destroy them both. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE GOLDEN AGE ATOM? Mallo, Keeper of the Cosmic Balance, notices that all Earth-One and Earth-Two heroes have similar powers except for the Atom. He believes that this imbalance will threaten the order of the Multiverse. He temporarily switches their powers, giving Al Pratt the ability to shrink in size, while taking on two crooks who have just robbed his home. This story coincides with Action Comics #515 "Sorry -- Wrong Powers!" , where the Atom from Earth-One has his power's switched to that of Al Pratt, the Atom from Earth-Two. Mallo, Keeper of the Cosmic Balance first appeared in Action Comics #515. This is his second and final appearance. "Whatever Happened to the Golden Age Atom?" and "Sorry--Wrong Powers!" in Action Comics #515 happen at the exact same time. "Whatever Happened to the Golden Age Atom?" is the Earth-Two part of the story, and "Sorry--Wrong Powers!" shows the Earth-One part. This is the first story that shows that Al Pratt (the Atom) and Mary James (his Golden Age love interest) are now married. Prior stories set in the Silver Age had shown Pratt as single. In Post-Crisis continuity, Al married Mary in 1951. The story in this issue implies that Al Pratt has no powers. However, he gained super-strength late in the Golden Age, and some Silver Age stories have shown he still has it. The events from this issue or series involve a Multiversal Crossover between Pre-Crisis worlds and characters.
