A bad day that starts with family turmoil and romantic disappointment gives way to something far worse. Federal agents fail when they attempt to apprehend and arrest Dazzler for the murder of Klaw. Despite outrunning the feds all night, Dazzler finds herself out of options and racked with guilt. She turns herself in the next morning. Her court-appointed attorney informs her that her trial by jury will be held the following day. However, due to her mutant powers, she will have to spend the night at a heightened security facility, namely, Ryker's Island. That night, she is dragged from her bed and taunted and assaulted by the Grapplers. The battle is brief . Just as she did with Klaw, Dazzler takes full advantage of a sonic attack and handily defeats her tormentors. The next day, after some emotional testimony and despite video evidence of Klaw's demise presented by the prosecution, Allison Blaire is acquitted.
