Synopsis

THE MYSTERY OF THE MIDNIGHT STALKER! Trapped in a foreign land and surrounded by bandits, Daredevil fights his way to an airfield where he flys a plane to England.  Once in England, Daredevil finds out that his old friend, Ka-Zar is accused of being the 'Midnight Stalker' and is in Plunder Castle, surrounded by the army who demand he come out.  Daredevil decides to pay him a visit. Inside the castle, Ka-Zar thinks that the man without fear has come to fight him and before Daredevil can explain, he has him in his arms ready to hurl him from the battlements. Daredevil grabs Ka-Zar the moment he is about to be thrown and the two fall into the moat below.  In the water, they espy the Plunderer's submarine and enter it.Ka-Zar and Daredevil battle it out with the Plunderer, who has escaped from jail and reveals that he has been the Midnight Stalker, deliberately operating barefoot to implicate his brother in an attempt to reclaim Plunder Castle.  He then attacks the heroes with his Nerve Bolt Ray.  Daredevil knocks the Plunderer out with his billy club and the police arrest him.Ka-Zar gives Daredevil money for a flight back to New York where Karen has received a letter allegedly from Spider-man, stating that Matt Murdock is Daredevil. A Stan Lee × Gene Colan Contemporary Classic! In the credits on page 1, Frank Giacoia's name is lettered in a different hand (probable Artie Simek). Since the lettering doesn't fit the available space, it possibly replaces the name Frank Ray (Giacoia's pseudonym).
