El Tiburón, a loan shark who gets sadistic pleasure in torturing clients delinquent in repaying him, is visited by The Crow, who sees him as a carrier of a new strain of the virus that causes evil. While at El Tiburón´s, The Crow is attacked by the Skull Cowboy, who suggests the bird´s motives and the truthfulness of its teachings may not be what they seem. When The Crow asks the bird about the Skull Cowboy, the discussion is interrupted by a feeling that something is wrong. The crow rushes off to the cementery to find Shelly´s body has been desinterred, and a dead police officer lies next to the empty grave.
