Synopsis

All-Sports Special Issue Hitters Wind - The Bearcats were a second-rate pre-depression negro league team. Till Willie Mountain led them to victory after victory. And the rumors started about Willie's deal with the devil! The Mummy's Victory - "Rah!" the crowd called. And the centuries old mummy answered. Legend said that he would rise again when victory was needed. And Cloverton need a football hero now! Till Hell Freezes Over - The Ice Palace doors, scoreboard, heating operated from a central generator. When it was damaged, the doors fused shut, it began to get colder, and people began to freeze! Home Stretch - Renegade would've been a Derby winner for sure...  if anyone had been able to ride him. As it was, he was insured for fifty thousand dollars. And he would be most valuable ... Dead! Menace,  Anyone? - He was a black tennis player in white dominated South Africa. And he did the unheard of. He won a match against a white champion. And the victory was worth his life! Relic - Jackie-7was a relic... a clanking metal hulk left over from the time when men first relinquished the game of baseball to robots... machines that played for keeps with bats and live gernades.
