I'LL TAKE MANHATTAN PART 3 - HOT IN THE CITY Selina Kyle attends an event for her mayoral campaign. Two campaign workers, Diane and Murph, gush over her. Diane is particularly impressed with her animal rights platform, and she pours wine for a toast. Selina is about to drink when she sees a sniper, Gunhawk, reflected in the glass, and she pushes Diane to the ground as Gunhawk shoots. Murph is killed. Gunhawk continues firing as Selina crawls across the floor, taking his lighter from Murph's corpse and using it to light the curtains on fire. That sets off the sprinklers, and Selina tells her campaign workers to run while the smoke covers their retreat. Gunhawk reports his failure in to Mr. Sergeyevich. Sergeyevich says they should have hired Deadshot and fires him before hanging up. Sergeyevich asks Nickie Stanci how their attempts to "persuade" Councilman Murty are working, and Stanci says Murty's campaign is going well and he was amendable to working with Sergeyevich once he heard about the bouquet they sent his mother in Central City. Catwoman has a new costume that she debuts to fight Carmen Leno and Bonny Hoffman of Requiem, Inc. Catwoman defeats them. The next day, Selina Kyle is in her office at Randolf Industries when Diane comes to see her. She thinks Selina will cancel her rally at the Statue of Liberty after two assassination attempts in two days, but Selina won't play it that safe. The rally is interrupted by Lady Vic. She tries to kill Selina, but her bodyguards get in the way long enough for Selina to change into her Catwoman costume. Lady Vic is shocked to find Catwoman there, and Catwoman claims she also is trying to kill Selina Kyle for the bounty. The two briefly fight before they fall off, barely hanging onto the Statue of Liberty's face. Catwoman says she has an advantage because she's used to scaling architecture while Lady Vic isn't, and she kicks her in the face, knocking off her mask. Lady Vic is "Diane," a twist Catwoman wasn't expecting. Meanwhile, at the Securities Exchange Commission, Mr. Finnian reports to his boss Maxwell Drucker that "Selina Kyle" doesn't exist. Finnian assures his superior that if Selina Kyle is involved in any kind of wrongdoing, he'll find out and take her down.
