Synopsis

When a series of crimes involving child abuse shocks the citizens of Gotham City, Batman and Commissioner Gordon embark on a quest to find the immoral perpetrator. But when Batman is accused of being the enraged killer of the child abuser, it is up to a young battered girl to come forth and clear his name. Treating this issue with the true severity that it demands, this book also includes a subplot in which Commissioner Gordon must come to terms with the abuse of his past and break its vicious cycle. Set during Batman's early years along with a newly appointed commissioner Gordon, the subplot details the breakdown of Gordon's first marriage.
