NO MAN'S LAND PART 69: FALLING BACK Robin and Oracle are waiting at Oracle's Watchtower for Batman and James Gordon to discuss the future of their alliance. Meanwhile they try to discover who was responsible for the construction supplies that have been getting into Gotham City. At Gordon's place, Batman and Jim are staring at each other without saying a word. They keep moving around the garden but for a while, none of them say anything. Batman begins speaking and Jim tries to reply as best as he can. Then, Gordon speaks out his mind and tells Batman all the reasons why he doesn't trust the dark knight anymore. Jim feels abandoned when No Man's Land was declared and Batman was gone. He also tells Batman that he doesn't like the lack of respect towards him as he never told him about his plans, about the time when he was gone and left others to replace him and Gordon also lets him know how he feels about Batman's making his disappearing act on him. Batman is feeling bad for Jim and wants to give him something in return. Batman takes off his cowl and wants to reveal his true identity to Gordon, but the former commissioner closes his eyes and refuses to see the man behind the mask. Gordon tells him that if he wants to know his identity he would already have discovered and also hinted that perhaps he already knows it. Bruce puts his cowl back on and they talk about their next move. They agree to work together and in order to arrange the plans, they set the time and place for their next meeting. Without saying anything else, they part.
