Synopsis
BRIDE OF BATMAN! The Shah of Nairomi arrives in Gotham City to discuss important international matters, but he is helplessly attracted to Vicki Vale, the photographer assigned to cover the Shah's activities. When the Shah expresses his desire to marry Vicki, she can't think of a better way out of such predicament than announcing a fake engagement with Batman, who reluctantly agrees to play along. Batman's crime-fighting activities are somewhat affected by his public relationship with Vicki as she becomes a target for many thugs trying to get to Batman. The situation gets worse when a jealous photographer working for a rival magazine sends out invitations for Batman and Vicki's wedding to the most important people in Gotham. Vicki couldn't be happier with these developments, but Batman starts thinking of a way to end the charade. Soon a rumor gets around, that any person who marries Batman must undergo plastic surgery to protect their lives. This story eventually reaches the Shah, who stops the wedding from taking place, as he couldn't bear the thought of Vicki changing her face. Batman later tells Robin that he started that rumor, which proved useful to get out of this tight situation. THE BATMAN OF YESTERDAY! When a known criminal claim to have recovered a long-lost treasure of gold, Batman and Robin ask their trusted friend, Professor Nichols to send them back in time to the Gotham of 1753. In the past, Batman and Robin meet with the legendary Captain Lightfoot, who is known in Gotham's future for hiding the valuable treasure. Together, the trio stop a criminal who tried to start a war between Gothamites and Native Americans. For his actions, the governor rewards Lightfoot with a certificate, indicating that he is a hero, and Lightfoot hides the document as his most valuable treasure. Upon returning to the present, Batman and Robin capture the criminal, who tried to trick the authorities by claiming the false discovery after stealing a gold shipment from a train. BATMAN – GANG BOSS! Batman and Robin are escorts on a prison transport plane when a storm forces them down to what appears to be a deserted island. However, the island is controlled by the murderous pirate Lars Veking, and Batman and Robin find unexpected brothers-in-arms in the form of the prisoners they are escorting. One by one, the prisoners use their criminal talents to help defeat Veking. Afterwards, the prisoners turn on Batman and Robin, who are forced to flee. The prisoners steal Veking's submarine and head for the mainland, only to find the Police waiting for them. It is later revealed tha Batman and Robin were stowaways in the torpedo tubes of the submarine, and once close enough to Gotham, they ejdcted themselves from the tubes to go get the police, preventing the thugs from escaping.
