Synopsis

FATHER KNOWS BEST Batgirl is investigating a case of women being attacked in their houses' bathroom. They lose consciousness, spend a few days in a coma, and then wake up with no memory of what happened. The fifth victim's boyfriend tells he witnessed her being absorbed inside some kind of glob monster before he was knocked out. Batgirl checks the bathroom and finds a tube of Bio Glass soap lying on the floor. A tube of the same brand was found at the last two crime scenes. Batgirl decides to pay a visit to the apothecary.  At night, Batgirl breaks into the place and bumps into her father. It turns women are falling into comas in Gotham City, too, and tubes of Bio-Glass were found in each victim's bathroom, so the Commissioner decided to look into the place. Batgirl tells him about the goo monster and points out that Bio-Glass contains bactery, so maybe the monster came from there. Gordon informs her crates of Bio-Glass stored in the stockroom were shipped from Green Sun Biotech.   Knowing Batgirl isn't going to drop the case, Gordon resigns himself to the idea of working together. Both Gordons sneak into the G. S. Biotech factory and find out the soap contains globs of living biomatter. Batgirl takes a sample and takes it to the Gotham General Hospital to get it tested. However, nor traces of Bio Glass bacteria or bio-matter stuff were found in the victims body. Nonetheless, Batgirl has found G. S. Biotech's owner's previous business, Burnside Genomics, was fined after it was caught dumping biomatter into the harbor.   Batgirl and James Gordon head to Burnside Genomics while Batgirl formulates a theory: the goo monster is a mass of biomatter dumped by both business which has somehow gained consciousness and taken residence in the Gotham Harbor. When a woman washes Bio Glass down the drain, the monster senses it and follows the trail backs up to her bathroom, travelling through the sewer system, where it attacks her and sucks all the bacteria out of her body.   Both Gordons head back to the Gotham City Police Department to test Batgirl's theory. In the locker room, they pour Bio Glass soap down the drain. Nearly right away, the goo creature emerges out of the sewer and seizes James Gordon. Batgirl's weapons don't work on it, but Batgirl manages to kill it by pouring bleach on it.   Afterwards, Batgirl wants to take a sample from the remaining biological gunk. Gordon frowns on her antics, but Batgirl convinces him to let her take it in order to get it analyzed. Batgirl doesn't intend to study it, though. She merely wants a memento of the case she and her father solved together.
