THE TRUTH ABOUT BATS AND DOGS At night, Batgirl comes upon Esme -one of the Burnside schoolgirls Barbara Gordon tutors- facing up to a biker gang. After scaring the Shifties, she learns Esme is looking to find "Rookie", a dog very popular on "Pixtagraph" -an app for pet owners- who has gone missing. Batgirl tries to talk Esme into letting her get her home and leaving the dog-searching to her, but they run into Catwoman. After a short scuffle, Catwoman reveals her cat Isis has gone missing, and she has tracked it to Burnside. It turns out that Catwoman has a pixtragraph account for Isis, which suggests whoever got Rookie kidnapped Isis, too. Following a lead, Batgirl and Catwoman break into an apartment where they find the missing pets as well as Velvet Tiger. Lani calls her goons in. Batgirl and Catwoman fight them off but they are outnumbered. Esme, that has sought shelter under a pet cage, finds several chew toys, notes they look like bombs, and tosses them out yelling "Grenades!". Scared out of their wits, Velvet Tiger's thugs quickly scram. Lani squares off but gets literally dogpiled. Catwoman gets away before the cops turn up, and Batgirl takes Esme home.
