Synopsis

NEW ORDER Dr. Leslie Thompkins and Brian Bryan have prepared a birthday cake for Jean-Paul Valley. Actually he has no real birthday he knows about, but for Leslie it is more about that exactly one month ago Jean-Paul got rid of his original Azrael costume. However, the small celebration makes Jean-Paul think about the Order of St. Dumas and also about Lilhy.   Surprisingly, Lilhy has returned to Gotham City and she is accompanied by a new Azrael. Lihly has "acquired" artifacts from the Order of St. Dumas and wants to sell it to a collector for 20 million dollars. But when the collector tries to betray her, the new Azrael goes to work and kills the man and his bodyguards. Since Lilhy did not get her money, she steals some of the collector's antiques.   During the same night, Jean-Paul stands on top of a church and is visited by Batgirl. She cannot talk, but obviously she wants to know why he is not wearing his costume. After she is gone, Jean-Paul understands that she seems to like him as being Azrael. Later, he is also approached by Batman who explains that Jean-Paul's biological mother might have escaped the Order of St. Dumas alive ...
