"Bombshells!" Captain Marvel overtakes the escaping ship, and the Dire Wraith disguised as Dr. Cather is soon being held at gunpoint by the Wasp. The alien refuses to return to Earth, however, and must strive to control the power levels of the unstable drive or the craft will explode into anti-matter fragments which would wreak havoc below. The Vision and Starfox soon join Captain Marvel and Wasp. During the ensuing struggle, the Dire Wraith is hurled into space. The four Avengers then take control of the ship. Back at the space center, Captain America and the Scarlet Witch discover further Dire Wraith infiltrators: members of the aliens' sorcerous sisterhood, who have exterminated their scientific brethren. However, the sisterhood members are themselves destroyed in the ensuing battle. Afterward, the Vision is dismayed to learn that the responsibility for dealing with further Dire Wraith activities has been assigned to S.H.I.E.L.D., rather than the Avengers. Meanwhile, in a small Transian town, Quicksilver uses Lackjaw to track down an injured Bova who is resting at the home of the local doctor. She reveals that both her injuries and her home's destruction are the work of Magneto, and Quicksilver vows to get revenge for Bova's sake.
