ARKHAM MANOR: ENDGAME It was a typical night at Arkham Manor for sfsf Stone, when the lights suddenly went out. When they came back on again, the Joker had come back with them. When he was trained, the administration had tried to prepare Stone for the Joker - but that was impossible. The Joker unleashed a gas in the hallways, as the prisoners began to escape their cells - freed by the brief power outage. Stone's partner Lou tried to turn it back on, but was killed by an escaped Victor Zsasz. The madman came after Stone, too, but he was rescued by Bane who insisted that he help get them out of there. Only a few inmates were unaffected by the Joker's toxin - those who had immunities like Poison Ivy and Clayface. How Stone evaded it, he could not say. He tried to save the other employees, but his failure saw them pay terrible prices. A guard named Danielle Dimeglio was beaten to death by some of her friends. All the while, the Joker watched and laughed - like he knew something they didn't. It turned out that the Joker had managed to find a way to infect a piece of Clayface beforehand, and it attacked them, prompting the real, uninfected Clayface to attack it, allowing Stone to lead the others to the exit. It was, unfortunately, blocked by the Joker, who taunted them with their inevitable deaths. Stone, though, had had enough. He stepped forward and punched the Joker in the face. And in doing so, he revealed the ugly truth: the Joker they had been terrified of was not the Joker at all. It was Dr. Jeremiah Arkham - clearly driven mad. This enraged the other infected inmates, who turned on him, intent on killing him. Stone tried to hold them back, but knew he couldn't succeed. Fortunately, Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock led a S.W.A.T. team into the asylum at just the right moment, sparing him. In the commotion, the other inmates who had not been infected managed to escape, and Bullock held Stone responsible. He couldn't prove anything, though, and in truth it was just as much his fault. After letting Stone go, Bullock admitted to Jim that he knew Stone couldn't be responsible. He was traumatized by the events. The only person more traumatized was surely Arkham himself.
