An Inupiat village is having trouble with a sea monster, while back at Pearl Harbor Aquaman, Aqualad, and Dolphin return to confront Strom. However upon arriving are told that Strom has never been at this base, and the base has never been flooded. Aquaman then settles on seeking out his father Atlan the wizard for answers. Meanwhile the young man Koryak manages to escape the sea monster following wounding it. He then returns to his village, letting his mother know he feels responsible for the monsters torment. At the Aquacave, Aquaman and Dolphin recover with Dolphin questioning Aquaman's reluctance to sleep, as she kisses a surprised Aquaman who accidently cuts her. While Aqualad returns to Atlantis to question Vulko on his seeing of Tula, learning the legend of Atlantean wizards who had long ago mastered raising the dead. Meanwhile the sea monster once again returns, dragging several villagers to their watery death much to Koryak's anger. Aquaman and Aqualad then enter into a argument when Aquaman once again shuts Aqualad out before Aqualad can ask him for his assistance, with Dolphin leaving with Aquaman much to Garths sadness. Aquaman and Dolphin then ride to Alaska as Dolphin ponders over Garth's safety, while Aqualad picks up some new equipment to assist him in his journey. Aquaman and Dolphin then arrive in Alaska, where he begins his search for Kako, where he meets her son Koryak. Who attacks him from behind knocking him through a window, trying to kill him with a harpoon. The fight is ultimately broken up by Kako, who reveals Koryak is his son.
