At last Menelaus and Helen come face to face for the first time since she left him to follow Paris to Troy! The peace embassy from the Achaeans lays its case in front of Priam and all the Trojans. Palamedes, Menelaus, Odysseus, and Akamas all speak their pieces, each in his own style. But will it do any good? Only Hektor seems to hold out hope for actual peace.
