Creation & Design

The WildC.A.T.S were created by Jim Lee as part of the launch of Image Comics in the early 1990s, designed to be a team of superheroes with a mix of human and alien abilities.

The team was introduced as a covert group of heroes fighting against the Daemonites, an alien race intent on conquering Earth. Their stories often intertwined with other Image Comics characters.
