Starlight

Creation & Design

Starlight was created by writer Garth Ennis and artist Darick Robertson for the comic series 'The Boys'. She was designed to be a parody of traditional superhero tropes, embodying the idealistic and naive superhero archetype.

Early Years

Starlight, originally known as Annie January, grew up idolizing superheroes and aspired to join The Seven, the most prestigious superhero team. Her journey begins when she finally gets the chance to join the team, only to discover the dark and corrupt nature of the superhero world.

Character Development

Throughout her journey, Starlight evolves from an idealistic hero to a more complex character who grapples with the moral ambiguities of heroism and the consequences of power. Her experiences force her to confront her beliefs and redefine what it means to be a hero.

Cultural Reception

Starlight has been well-received by fans and critics alike, praised for her depth and relatability in a genre often dominated by archetypal characters.
