Quasar
Creation & Design
Quasar was created by writer Jim Shooter and artist Mike Zeck, first appearing in The Avengers #233. He was designed to be a cosmic hero with powers derived from the Quantum Bands, which grant him various abilities.
Early Years
Initially, Wendell Vaughn was a security guard for the Project Pegasus research facility. After being exposed to the Quantum Bands, he became Quasar and took on the mantle of protector of the universe.
