Magik was created by writer Len Wein and artist Dave Cockrum, first appearing in Giant-Size X-Men #1. She was designed to be the younger sister of Colossus, adding depth to the X-Men universe.

Early Years

Illyana was abducted to the dimension of Limbo, where she trained in sorcery and became a powerful sorceress. Her experiences in Limbo shaped her character and abilities.
