Grifter was created by Jim Lee and Brandon Choi as part of the Wildstorm universe, designed to be a charismatic anti-hero with a complex backstory.

Early Years

Cole Cash was a former member of Team 7, a covert ops group, who later became a mercenary and vigilante known as Grifter. His journey began with his involvement in the WildC.A.T.s, a team of superheroes fighting against the Daemonites.
