Doctor Doom was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, first appearing in The Fantastic Four #5 in 1962. He was designed as a foil to the Fantastic Four, embodying the archetype of the tragic villain.

Early Years

Victor Von Doom was born in Latveria and was a brilliant scientist. After a tragic accident during an experiment, he was scarred and exiled, leading him to become the tyrannical ruler of Latveria and a formidable foe of the Fantastic Four.
